Chinmaya Jyoti Yatra in India

ScreenHunter_01 Jan. 11 11.33

Swami Chinmayananda came down from the Himalayas to share the knowledge of Vedanta with us. The Chinmaya Jyoti Yatra, led by Swami Mitrananda, in India was our attempt to take Him to the masses.

May 8, 2016 marks the birth centenary of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda. He was a visionary, coming down from the Himalayas to spread and share with us the sweet nectar of our scriptures. As part of the year-long celebrations that started on May 15th, 2015, the Chinmaya Jyoti Yatra took Him to the people, more so His message.

The Chinmaya Sandesh Vahini (CSV) – the name coined by Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda, was an exhibition on wheels depicting the life and teachings of Pujya Gurudev. The Chinmaya Jyoti travelled with the CSV, and was lit as an “Akhanda Jyoti” by Pujya Guruji when it reached Chinmaya Vibhooti on December 31, 2015 after traveling for 238 days.

The journey of a lifetime…completed successfully due to the prayers and good wishes of people all over the world. More than anything, it was HIS grace that carried the team forward.

Presenting a glimpse of the 8 month journey in 8 minutes…

  • 238 days
  • covering 26 States
  • traveling 27,810 kms

The journey began during Swami Chinmayananda’s lifetime.
It continues and it touches lives of people today who never met this great sage.
    The journey indeed continues
Be inspired by His Vision and inspire others in turn

A moving production by Swami Mitrananda’s team. Everyone who are members of the Study Group (of retirees) at the Cottage in the Forests of Northern Ontario wept to see this Master make a Prophecy that he is surely returning to us again. Just beautiful!
